½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 large egg, room temp
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda

½ cup dark chocolate chips
½ cup white chocolate chips

preheat the oven to 350F. line a baking sheet with parchment paper. in a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy. add the egg and beat well, then stir in the vanilla extract. in a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. gradually add dry to wet, mixing until just combined. fold in chocolate chips and crushed candy cane. using a cookie scoop, make rounded balls of dough and place them on your baking sheet, leaving space between them. bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. enjoy!
